The Brontë Room

Capturing a favourite spot in my Mum's room dedicated to the Brontë's.
For me this is a place full of meaning. The chair and the bookcase were constand presences in my childhood, but the room places them in a new context. It is in a new house, that I did not grow up in. For my mum, this place also holds her collection of Brontë books, artwork, and other items adding other connections and feelings into otherwise quite a simple image.
I'm not sure about every piece of art I capture in this painting, but I know the top right image of the bookshelf is a Roo Waterhouse print.
